There
are a number of bogus letters and forms circulating which ask for
personal information from individuals outside the UK. These purport
to come from the UK Tax authorities but are a fraudulent device to
get information about your bank account and a signature. They are
complete with bogus logo. A similar fraudulent email is currently
circulating to companies stating that a VAT refund is due and all
you have to do is to sign the form and indicate the bank account to
which you want the money to be paid.
